This exciting full-time opportunity will see you supporting pupils across Early Years and Key Stage 1, helping children develop the skills, confidence, and enthusiasm needed to thrive in their education.

About the Role
As an Early Years & KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to create engaging learning experiences that inspire children to succeed. You will play a key role in supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and challenged.
This rewarding role will involve delivering targeted interventions, providing classroom support, and helping children develop confidence and independence in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across Early Years and Key Stage 1.
- Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
- Provide high-quality in-class support to help pupils reach their full potential.
- Assist children in developing key literacy and numeracy skills.
- Support pupils in preparation for Key Stage 1 SATs where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and a love of learning.
- Help create purposeful, engaging, and inclusive learning environments.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupil progress.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
- Be committed to providing every child with an excellent learning experience.
- Have experience supporting pupils within Early Years and/or Key Stage 1.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and attainment expectations.
- Be confident supporting children in preparation for KS1 SATs.
- Have experience delivering interventions and supporting learning within the classroom.
- Be passionate about helping children develop confidence in reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Have high aspirations for all pupils and a belief that every child can succeed.
- Be committed to their own professional learning and development.
- Be an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
