Location: Maidstone, Kent Contract: 2 Months  Start Date:Start of september    About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to join a busy project team in Maidstone on a short-term contract basis. The successful candidate will take ownership of all document control processes, ensuring project documentation is managed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company and client requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive Document Controller who can hit the ground running and support project delivery from day one. Key Responsibilities • Manage the full document control process across multiple projects. • Maintain and administer electronic document management systems (EDMS), ensuring all documents are accurately recorded, distributed and archived. • Review, upload and distribute drawings, technical documents, RFIs, specifications and project correspondence. • Ensure documents comply with company procedures, client requirements and project standards. • Maintain document registers and trackers, producing regular reporting as required. • Coordinate document submissions and approvals between internal teams, clients and subcontractors. • Support project teams with document retrieval, version control and audit requirements. • Monitor outstanding documents and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met. • Provide training and guidance to project personnel on document control procedures. • Assist with project handover documentation and final archiving processes. Requirements • Proven experience as a Senior Document Controller within construction, infrastructure, engineering, rail or related sectors. • Strong understanding of document control procedures and industry best practice. • Experience using document management platforms such as Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite, SharePoint, ProjectWise or similar systems. • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. Desirable • Previous experience supporting major construction or infrastructure projects. • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management processes. • Experience coordinating project handover documentation.
