The Role

As an Early Career Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons that inspire a love of learning.

  • Create a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive.

  • Assess, monitor and evaluate pupil progress to ensure all children achieve their potential.

  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND and those requiring additional support or challenge.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.

  • Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and wellbeing.

  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and school events.

  • Engage fully with the Early Career Framework (ECF) programme and ongoing professional development opportunities.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Essential

  • Will achieve or already holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Has a passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.

  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and an understanding of effective teaching and learning.

  • Has high expectations for all pupils and believes every child can succeed.

  • Is reflective, resilient and committed to continual professional development.

  • Works collaboratively and values being part of a supportive team.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable

  • Experience teaching during school placements across the primary age range.

  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum.

  • Experience of supporting inclusive practice and meeting the needs of diverse learners.

  • Knowledge of effective phonics and early reading strategies.
