About the role
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Pay: £90 - £95 per day (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Full-time / Term-time
The Role
Are you looking for a role where you can make a tangible difference in a child's life every single day? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a truly fantastic school in Chelmsford.
This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to work within a provision that supports the lives and families of young people. It is specifically designed to support children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts to ensure every student has the tools and support they need to thrive.
What You Will Be Doing
* Providing Bespoke Support: Delivering 1:1 and small group assistance tailored to the unique sensory and educational needs of the pupils.
* Creating an Inclusive Environment: Helping students engage with the curriculum through sensory play, communication aids, and specialised equipment.
* Holistic Care: Assisting with personal care and mobility (training will be provided), ensuring the dignity and well-being of all students.
* Collaborating: Working closely with Teachers, Therapists, and Parents to track progress and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small.
Who We Are Looking For
We are less interested in a long list of qualifications and more interested in your character. We want to hear from people who:
* Have a genuine interest in Special Educational Needs (SEND).
* Possess a "can-do" attitude and a high level of emotional resilience.
* Are patient, nurturing, and empathetic by nature.
* Are committed to helping children overcome barriers to their education.
Note: Previous experience in a PMLD/SLD setting is an advantage but not essential. If you have a background in care, support work, or simply a deep passion for helping others, we would love to speak with you.
Why Join This School?
* Cutting-Edge Facilities: Work in a modern environment equipped with a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, and the latest assistive technology.
* Professional Growth: Access to specialised CPD (Continuing Professional Development) including Team-Teach and manual handling training.
* A Supportive Culture: Join a team that values staff well-being and fosters a collaborative, friendly atmosphere.
