This is not just a job: it is a chance to guide vulnerable young individuals through critical stages of their development. By providing stability, routine, and a nurturing environment, the successful candidate will play a fundamental role in helping residents feel secure, valued, and empowered to express themselves. Whether navigating daily challenges or celebrating personal milestones, this position offers the immense professional fulfillment of knowing that every shift directly contributes to a brighter future.

The Best Bit? The client offers a highly predictable, balanced lifestyle alongside an exceptional financial package. Operating on a structured, rolling shift pattern of two days on followed by four days off, this position allows you to maintain an ideal work-life balance. With a strong base salary supplemented by consistent sleep-in opportunities, professionals can easily achieve an uplift of over £8,000 annually, pushing total earnings significantly higher.

What's in it for you?
  • Competitive Compensation: A strong base salary ranging from £28,645.50 to £29,464.50, plus an additional £67.50 per sleep-in (yielding an extra £8,000+ per year based on a standard 10 sleep-ins per month).

  • Sign-on Incentive: A £500 welcome bonus to mark your arrival.

  • Predictable Balance: A highly desirable schedule of 2 days on duty followed by 4 days off.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Generous "Refer a Friend" referral bonuses of £1,000, alongside exclusive retail discounts at major high street brands.

  • Professional Advancement: Access to specialist industry training, a fully funded induction program, and continuous career progression.

  • Holistic Support: Round-the-clock employee assistance, including dedicated health services and hardship grants through a corporate foundation.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Create a warm, secure, and homely living environment through attentive care and light housekeeping duties.

  • Establish robust, supportive relationships with residents, delivering compassionate emotional guidance during difficult moments.

  • Coordinate and participate in enriching recreational activities, from community excursions to creative projects and relaxed movie nights.

  • Oversee daily routines efficiently, including school preparation, meal times, and lifestyle scheduling.

  • Maintain precise, high-standard digital records utilizing professional electronic care management software to track child development.

  • Adhere strictly to regulatory frameworks and care standards to ensure the highest levels of safeguarding.

What we need from you
  • Background: Experience in youth work, education, healthcare, social care, or community services is highly advantageous, though passionate entry-level applicants are welcome as full training is provided.

  • Attributes: Exceptional active listening skills, immense patience, and an unwavering commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.

  • Technical Literacy: Comfort and confidence utilizing digital systems and electronic care documentation apps on a daily basis.

  • Compliance: Ability to successfully pass comprehensive background checks appropriate for working within a regulated Scottish childcare environment.
