Sustainability Advisor / Sustainability Coordinator – Construction / Building – Northamptonshire + Hybrid / Remote

Opportunity for a permanent Sustainability Advisor / Coordinator to join one of the UK's most successful Tier 1 building & civil engineering main contractors, with a very stable and fast growing forward order book.

Role:

As Sustainability Advisor your duties will include:

Sustainability Advisor / Coordinator (Seeking candidates both at Advisor or Assistant level).

• Assisting the data collection for Net Zero Carbon Reporting requirements

• Assisting client and project let Net Zero Carbon reporting requirements ,Liaising with Commercial Team / Design Team / Project Team to obtain information and analysing procurement schedules / drawings / commercial documents , Liaising with the supply chain to obtain information

• Understanding Net Zero Framework and working within the guidelines , Ensuring reviewing and keeping up to date with the latest published data and guidelines from UKGBC / Government / RICS etc

• Ensuring the use of appropriate evidence for reporting and to maintain accurate data

• Liaising with other departments to improve the collection, input and reporting of Sustainability and Net Zero data

• Assisting with development of Net Zero reporting processes

• Capturing best practice and carbon reduction measure case studies to share information and improve performance

• Guiding on reporting within required timeframes internally and to Clients/ Stakeholders

• Providing brand support for Sustainability and Net Zero capability materials, presentations and documents

• General Sustainability / NZ / CSR support

• Acting as a Sustainability / CSR champion within the business

• Ensure data quality for emissions reporting

• Influence design and build processes to hit Net Zero targets

• Generate innovative ideas to help reduce carbon emissions in the industry

• Support the company’s target to achieve its carbon-zero targets by 2025.

• Stay up to date with new technology, innovations, and best practice in the industry to accelerate the company’s sustainability journey.

 

Location:

Role is a mix of Northampton office, site visits and remote work, must be flexible to travel.

 

Requirements:

To be considered for this Sustainability Advisor role you must meet the following criteria:

-Previous work in a Sustainability Advisor / Coordinator / Sustainability Consultant or similar role.

-Degree (or similar equivalent) in a relevant sustainability or construction subject

-Ideally previous construction main contractor or consultancy employment history.

-Ability to gather, analyse, highlight trends and turn data into information to make sustainability decisions.

-Genuine passion for sustainability.

-Understanding of the principles of Sustainability and Net Zero.

-Understanding of Net Zero frameworks.

-Workload prioritising to meet deadlines.

-Data / statistical analysis / reporting.
