FLT Driver

£15.25 per hour | Rotating 2-Shift Pattern Temp-to-Perm Opportunity 38.5 Hours per Week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver to join a well-established manufacturing business. Following an initial day-shift induction, the successful candidate will move directly onto a rotating 2-shift pattern.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with previous forklift driving experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment who is looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent benefits and the potential for permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently within a warehouse and production environment.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving, storing and supplying materials to production and assembly teams.
• Ensuring materials are accurately located and available when required.
• Supporting inventory control and stock management activities.
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures and site standards.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Working independently and as part of a small team to meet operational requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Valid FLT Licence (Counterbalance preferred – specify if required).
• Previous experience operating forklifts within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.

Pay & Benefits

Temporary Assignment

• £15.25 per hour on rotating 2-shift pattern.
• Overtime paid at:
  • 1.5x standard rate Monday to Saturday.
  • 2x standard rate on Sundays.
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (accrued and paid hourly).

Working Hours

Day Shift (Induction)

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm

Rotating 2-Shift Pattern

Week 1 (Early Shift)

• Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm

Week 2 (Back Shift)

• Monday – Thursday: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
• Friday: 12:30pm – 7:00pm
