ICT Security Lead

Job Title: IT Security Lead

Reports To: Head of IT

Scope:

Sitting within the IT team, this role is responsible for IT security across the Group. The key functions of this role include:

• Defence Compliance: Manage UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) security frameworks and Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP) requirements.
• Cloud Security Strategy: Secure native cloud environments (AWS, Azure) without legacy on-premise infrastructure.
• Risk Management: Lead risk assessments, accreditation processes and security case preparation for defence contracts.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise directly with MOD accreditors, internal product teams and executive leadership.

This role is newly created and requires a self-starter who can take ownership and shape the function. The successful candidate will define what excellence looks like, establish measurable objectives and drive continuous improvement.

The role will challenge the status quo, bringing a fresh perspective to cloud security and supporting the safe adoption of technology across the organisation.
