Resident Engineer / Site Supervisor - Highways

Our client, engaged in delivering major highway projects, is currently seeking a Resident Engineer / Site Supervisor to join their team for a Road Scheme in Co Tipperary, Ireland. This exciting 4.5km road construction project has 12 months remaining, with a start date at the end of July or beginning of August. This role is offered as a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension on other projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the works on behalf of the Employer's team
• Work with the Employer's Representative and other site team members
• Respond to contract RFI's, Material Acceptances, Testing Certificates, etc.
• Inspect critical work items, issue NCR's, and sign-off on completed works
• Support the Senior Resident Engineer in preparing monthly contractor payment valuations
• Assist in responding to contract claims and other dispute items
• Attend monthly contractor progress meetings

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a Site Supervisor, particularly in highway projects
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and Irish Public Works (or UK equivalent)
• Previous experience in road construction projects
• Ability to supervise and work with a team of engineers
• Strong communication and organisational skills
