About the role
Our prestigious client is seeking a Field Service Technician to cover the Maidstone & surrounding areas; this person is responsible for carrying out field-based service and repairs on the company's equipment to a high standard in a professional and customer-focused way. This role will involve travelling to various customer locations in and around Maidstone and surrounding areas and on occasions further afield as the role requires. • Location: Maidstone and surrounding area • Salary: Competitive • Contract: Permanent • Benefits: Generous holiday allowance, Pension, Life Assurance, Company Vehicle & Fuel Card As the Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for: • Responsible for the configuration, quality, and accuracy of products. • Independently isolate and resolve issues raised by customers. • Troubleshoot product issues and effectively complete repairs. • Understanding of spare parts and routine product repairs. • Ensure specified processes, procedures, and reporting methods are followed. • Perform preventive maintenance checks and adjustments. • Perform product repairs and maintenance at client sites • Provide outstanding customer service in educating customers on product repair, maintenance and usage. • Serve as product expert and brand ambassador. • Ensure hardware, software and network of the product is functioning properly after each service. • Properly record and replenish the inventory and spare parts in the service vehicle. • Maintain the company supplied vehicle to ensure it's in good working order. The successful Field Service Technician will have the following related skills / experience: • Associate degree in Electronics, Technical School certification as an Electronics Technician, or equivalent technical training preferred but not required • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical customer service position • Team player attitude and taking accountability • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment • Good problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot problems and think on your feet • Maintain a safe and clean environment at all times • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. with assistance • Flexible schedule required Monday through Friday, with availability to work weekends and holidays as needed by mutual agreement • A full, clean driving license is essential
