A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Private Client team. Based in Hove, with applications also welcomed from candidates interested in working from Horsham or Worthing, this is a newly created position driven by continued growth and increasing client demand.

The Role: Private Client Solicitor

You will advise a broad range of clients on private client matters, providing practical, sensitive and commercially focused advice while building long-term relationships with individuals and families.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload and work closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising clients on a wide range of private client matters including:
  • Wills and estate planning
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Trust creation and administration
  • Inheritance and succession planning
• Providing clear, practical and tailored legal advice
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting elderly and vulnerable clients with professionalism and sensitivity
• Delivering high standards of client care and technical excellence
• Contributing to the continued growth and success of the private client department

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in private client law
• Strong technical knowledge across wills, probate, estate administration and trusts
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
• A client-focused and empathetic approach
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience of Court of Protection matters would be advantageous but is not essential
