Worried what you will be asked at interview?

Well don’t be, as you will get these in advance of the day so you can show us your ‘best self’.

Worried about where to park on your interview day?

Well don’t be, as you will get a parking space reserved for you on your interview day and hopefully when you visit.

Want a Costa Coffee from our in-house Costa Café in school?

Yes, that’s right we have a Costa Café with one free coffee each week for every member of staff.

Northampton Academy is currently looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and resilient individual who will provide strong support and assistance to staff and students across the whole academy.

You will be expected to present pre-prepared work to groups of students. This will normally happen in the absence of the class teacher. The post will also include other supervisory duties and administrative tasks.

You will be extremely organised, focussed and have a calm and friendly approach. You will have great patience and empathy along with excellent interpersonal skills, as this role involves dealing with students, staff and colleagues within the academy. You will enjoy working with young people and have experience of working with them. You can work independently but be able to judge when to ask for help and support.

We offer

  • A health cash plan giving you money towards essential medical treatment
  • Our staff discount scheme saves you money on supermarket shopping, gym memberships, holidays and more
  • One paid personal leave day each year to use as you wish
  • Access to a comprehensive wellbeing programme, providing support with issues from legal and financial to family and housing; access to free counselling and other wellbeing support

For further information or a confidential chat about this role, please contact Kirsty Davis, Vice Principal (email [email removed]).

Northampton Academy is committed to equal opportunities and to the protection and safety of all students and adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share these commitments.

The post will be subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
