Overview 



Are you an Aftercare / Finishing Manager looking for your next role in the East Midlands? Atkins Search is recruiting for an Aftercare / Finishing Manager in Nottingham to join an established, award-winning construction main contractor with a strong regional presence in the Midlands. This is a full-time, permanent management position focused on the successful completion, handover and aftercare of diverse, high-value projects ranging from £1m - £45m. 



Client 



Our client is a financially robust, well-respected construction main contractor with a strong presence across Nottingham and the East Midlands. Known for collaborative working practices, they maintain trusted relationships with subcontractors and clients to deliver high-quality schemes on time and within budget.



Their diverse portfolio of projects spans commercial construction, education, leisure and healthcare construction projects, combining traditional delivery methods with modern project controls and sustainability frameworks.



Following two years of consistent growth, they are expanding their operational team and seeking an experienced construction professional to oversee project completions, handovers and defect management across their portfolio. 



Role

Our client is looking to bring in an Aftercare / Finishing Manager to work as part of their existing construction team. You will be responsible for managing the final stages of construction projects, ensuring exceptional quality standards are achieved, coordinating client handovers and overseeing aftercare activities to maintain client satisfaction. 



Responsibilities 



As an Aftercare / Finishing Manager in Nottingham, your responsibilities will include:

Managing project completion activities, ensuring all finishing works are completed to the highest standards.
Coordinating snagging and defect management processes with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
Leading project handovers, ensuring all documentation, certifications and warranties are completed and issued accurately.
Managing aftercare activities and responding effectively to client queries and defect issues during the warranty period.
Conducting quality inspections and ensuring all completed works meet company and client expectations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Producing regular reports on defects, aftercare performance and project completion status.
Person 



To be successful in this Aftercare / Finishing Manager position in Nottingham, you will bring significant experience working within a main contracting construction environment, ideally for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.

Current or previous experience as an Aftercare Manager, Finishing Manager, Finishing Foreman, Site Manager or similar role on behalf of a construction main contractor.
Strong knowledge of finishing trades, snagging processes and quality assurance procedures.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
Experience managing project handovers and defect rectification programmes.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Works effectively to deadlines and maintains a proactive approach to problem-solving.
CSCS card and relevant construction qualifications preferred.
Remuneration
