Graduate Product Design Engineer

A specialist engineering and manufacturing business developing products for industrial applications worldwide. Their teams manage the full product lifecycle in-house, from design and prototyping through to manufacturing and testing.  

The Role

As a Graduate Product Design Engineer, you will support the development of mechanical products and assemblies while building expertise in CAD design, prototyping and manufacturing processes. Working alongside experienced engineers and production specialists, you’ll gain exposure to product testing, technical documentation and real-world engineering challenges. This role offers excellent hands-on experience with clear progression opportunities into more senior design and development positions.

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD
• Support projects from concept through to production
• Prepare technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Assist prototype builds, testing and product validation
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams
• Support continuous product and quality improvements

What do we need from you 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering
• Strong interest in mechanical design and manufacturing
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor
• Placement, internship or early-career engineering experience
