SEN Teaching Assistant – Crayford

We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaging and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. Working under the direction of the Class Teacher or Cover Supervisor, you will support pupils with their emotional, social and cognitive development, helping them to access learning and achieve their individual potential.

The role is varied and rewarding, requiring a positive approach, flexibility and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Be caring, patient and committed to helping every child succeed.
• Have experience of supporting children or young people, ideally with SEND.
• Be able to motivate, engage and encourage pupils in their learning.
• Work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
• Remain calm, confident and resilient when supporting pupils with a range of needs and behaviours.
• Be willing to support pupils with personal care where required.
• Have good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.

Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:45pm), 39 weeks per year (term time plus training days)
Contract: Permanent
