MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST – Tameside

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join a very busy team. on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing exceptional patient service, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with various medical software systems, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and coding.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
• Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR systems such as Emis
• Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls and inquiries professionally
• manage medical collections in accordance
• Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation review and filing of medical records.
• Provide clerical support to the medical staff as needed, including typing reports and managing correspondence.
• Answering phones Emails

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR systems such as Emis is highly desirable.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing documentation and scheduling tasks.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially in compliance with regulations.
• Experience in medical office management or administrative support is beneficial.

What else you need to know:

• Hours 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday
• £13.00 per hour
• Local to all amenities
