About the role

A brilliant, well‑led primary school is looking for a confident, adaptable Qualified Teacher to take on a split timetable: Year 1 in the mornings and Year 5 in the afternoons. If you love variety, thrive on building quick rapport, and enjoy switching between early‑years foundations and upper‑KS2 challenge, this role is a perfect fit.

The Role

  • Teach Year 1 each morning: phonics, early reading, early maths, routines and nurture
  • Teach Year 5 each afternoon: structured lessons, deeper learning, pre‑SATs preparation
  • Deliver engaging lessons using provided planning
  • Maintain strong behaviour management across both phases
  • Work closely with EYFS/KS1 and KS2 teams to ensure consistency
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

About You

  • QTS (essential)
  • Confident teaching across KS1 and KS2
  • Strong behaviour management and calm classroom presence
  • Adaptable, organised and proactive
  • Able to switch teaching styles between early‑years nurture and upper‑KS2 challenge
