Zest Education is recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Newbridge and the surrounding areas. We work closely with a range of local schools that regularly require reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors, making this an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students in completing set work
• Providing clear feedback to teaching staff following lessons

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for working with young people, including:

• Recent university graduates
• Sports coaches
• Youth workers
• Dance or theatre instructors
• Scouts and Guides leaders
• Playgroup or childcare workers
• Individuals with previous school-based experience

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• A genuine interest in supporting young people’s development
• A minimum of 20 days’ experience working with children or young people, or a recent university degree

Previous classroom experience is beneficial but not essential.
