About the role
Calling all recent or soon to be graduates in Wolverhampton – your next adventure starts here!
Have you recently graduated and are now looking for a role that’s exciting, flexible, and genuinely rewarding? Maybe you’ve gained experience as a sports coach, youth worker, or supported young people in a school setting — and now you’re ready for your next step. If that sounds like you, this opportunity could be the perfect fit.
Zest Education is working alongside a number of dynamic and supportive secondary schools across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas, all seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join their teams. Positions are available to start in September.
What does a Cover Supervisor do?
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the teacher’s shoes when they are absent — without the planning or marking. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, pre-prepared lessons to students aged 11–18
- Keeping classes focused, motivated, and on task
- Managing classroom behaviour calmly and positively
- Feeding back to school staff about lesson progress and behaviour
With no planning workload, your role is to guide, support, and ensure learning continues smoothly.
Why this role is perfect for you
- No lesson planning required — just bring your energy and commitment
- Flexible working patterns — choose full-time or part-time
- A brilliant stepping stone into teaching or education pathways
- Every day is different — from English to Science to PE!
Whether you’re exploring a future career in teaching or simply seeking a fulfilling role working with young people, this is a fantastic opportunity.
What we’re looking for
- At least 20 days’ experience working with young people (school, youth work, sports coaching, etc.)
-  Or a degree, but not essential — enthusiasm, reliability, and confidence are key
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
What’s in it for you?
- Competitive pay (dependent on experience and references)
- Supportive, forward-thinking school environments
- The chance to make a genuine difference in young people’s lives
- Free parking/on-site parking depending on school
