Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | Halifax | £50k - £70k + Package

We’re working with a well-established construction contractor to appoint a Quantity Surveyor from intermediate through to senior level to support the commercial delivery of projects across the healthcare and commercial sectors

This is an office-based role in Halifax, working as part of an experienced and collaborative commercial team

They are looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who can take ownership of projects and play a key role in cost control, procurement, and overall commercial performance

What You’ll Be Doing.

• Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account
• Preparing and issuing tender packages and managing subcontract procurement
• Producing valuations, applications for payment, and cost reporting
• Managing variations, change control, and commercial risk
• Liaising with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
• Supporting pre-construction and estimating activities where required
• Monitoring financial performance across multiple projects
• Ensuring robust commercial processes and governance are maintained

What You Will Need

• Experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
• Ability to manage projects independently (level of responsibility aligned to experience)
• Strong understanding of cost management and commercial processes
• Experience in subcontract procurement and contract administration
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Relevant qualification (degree or equivalent) desirable but not essential
