About the role
Mill Operator / Forklift Driver Location: Maidstone Area Employment Type: Permanent Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour We are currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established, family-run manufacturing business with a strong reputation in the industry. Having successfully operated for many decades, the company is continuing to grow and is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work. The successful candidate will be a team player, able to follow procedures accurately, and willing to support various operational tasks throughout their shift. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm Key Responsibilities • Preparing raw materials for the manufacturing process • Operating mill control panels and associated equipment • Ensuring production processes are completed in line with company procedures and quality standards • Maintaining accurate production records • Carrying out routine mill cleaning schedules • Packing finished products and stacking them onto pallets • Loading, unloading, and moving materials using a Forklift Truck (FLT) • Testing and approving raw materials • Safely storing products within warehouse racking systems • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment • Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture Essential Requirements • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence • Previous FLT operating experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures • Good communication and teamwork skills • Reliable, hardworking, and committed with a positive attitude • Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist where required Important Due to the client's location, applicants must have their own transport.
