PE Assistant and Lifeguard

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to our pupils. You will be committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives and in supporting and developing their learning. Your intervention will help enable an outstanding learning environment for our young people, providing the support they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to effectively support learning and teaching, and to develop relationships across our school and the Star community.

You will have:

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent qualification or willingness to undertake the NPLQ immediately upon appointment.
• Lifeguarding experience (desirable)
• Experience of supervising or working with children (desirable)
• The ability to swim to a high standard to meet the requirements of the NPQL including:

Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds.

Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back.

Tread water for 30 seconds.

Jump/dive into deep water.

Surface dive to the floor of the pool.

Climb out of pool unaided without ladder/steps.
