Materials Controller / Storeperson

Thorn Baker Construction are looking for an experienced Material Controller / Storeperson to join a busy residential housing development. This is a long-term opportunity with a reputable house builder for someone who takes pride in keeping site operations running efficiently.

The Role

• Receiving and checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Safely unloading, storing and organising construction materials.
• Issuing materials, tools and equipment to site operatives.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and monitoring inventory levels.
• Reporting shortages, damaged goods and discrepancies to site management.
• Keeping the stores and compound clean, organised and secure.
• Liaising with suppliers, site management and subcontractors regarding deliveries.
• Ensuring all materials are stored in line with health and safety requirements.
• Assisting with general site logistics where required.

About You

• Previous experience as a Material Controller, Storeperson or Construction Logistics Operative.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Good knowledge of construction materials.
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
