Insurance Litigation Lawyer

Are you a litigation solicitor interested in joining a specialist litigation firm? If so this is a role worth looking at. You will have the opportunity to join a firm comprised of pure litigations, all highly skilled litigators, to specialise in defender based insurance litigation. You will manage a diverse caseload, working closely with a range of insurer clients. You will handle claims from initial instruction through to resolution, delivering strategic, commercial and pragmatic advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of insurance litigation files, including motor, casualty, property, and recovery claims.
• Drafting pleadings, preparing court documents and handling procedural hearings.
• Providing clear, timely advice to insurer clients.
• Conducting negotiations and pursuing cost‑effective resolutions.
• Working collaboratively with senior colleagues and contributing to team development.

Applicants will ideally be 2-3 PQE with an insurance litigation background, ideally on the defender side, however applications are welcomed from those dealing with pursuer cases who would like to switch. You will have strong advocacy, negotiation and analytical skills and have the ability to build strong client relationships and communicate complex issues effectively.
