A well-established manufacturing firm in Warrington is seeking a qualified Interim Financial Controller to support the business during a period of change. Following a recent management team reshuffle, they’re seeking an experienced finance professional who can provide stability, leadership, and strategic input.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function and contribute to broader business planning. For the right person, there is genuine potential for this role to be extended or made permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Support strategic financial planning
• Prepare financial statements and analyse tax data
• Produce board packs and present key financial insights to senior leadership
• Act as the main point of contact for auditors, banks, and tax authorities
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial and government regulations

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of financial software and Excel
• Confident communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment

In Return:

• Day rate of around £300 – £350 per day (dependent on experience)
• Immediate start available
• Initial 6-month contract, with the potential to be extended or become permanent
• Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership during a key transition phase
