General Operative

Our client, a leading player in the data centre sector, is currently seeking a General Operative to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing site safety and operations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the overall cleanliness of the site, ensuring that all areas are tidy and free of hazards
• Monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by team members and ensuring compliance
• Ensuring that safety signs are properly displayed and visible at all times
• Actively maintaining site safety standards and procedures
• Performing routine inspections and maintaining a visible presence on-site
• Sitting in a designated area to oversee operations and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Participating in a three-day training course to be disclosed prior to the start date

Job Requirements:

• Experience in an operative role, ideally within the data centre sector
• Understanding of site safety procedures and standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously
• Willingness to participate in the required training course
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to report issues effectively
