Claims Director

As a senior member of the Claims leadership team, you will help oversee a large, multi-level claims organization responsible for delivering exceptional customer outcomes across a diverse claims portfolio.
Working closely with executive leadership, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the claims function while supporting operational performance, talent development, process improvement, and organizational growth.
Key responsibilities include:

Provide leadership to a large claims organization through multiple layers of management.
Partner with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives and long-term succession planning.
Coach, mentor and develop Claims Directors and other senior leaders.
Drive operational excellence, service quality, and claims performance across multiple lines of business.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners and senior stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen customer outcomes.
Support organizational change initiatives and help develop the next generation of claims leaders.

Preferred Background

Extensive claims leadership experience within the property & casualty insurance industry.
Experience leading leaders (Director level or above preferred).
Broad exposure across multiple claims disciplines, ideally including Personal Auto, Homeowners Property and Commercial Claims.
Demonstrated success managing large teams through multiple reporting layers.
Strong strategic, operational and people leadership skills.
Experience within an insurance carrier environment is preferred, although candidates with a combination of carrier and TPA experience will also be considered.
