Graduate Trainee Supply Planner

Ready to start your career in supply chain within a fast-moving commercial environment? We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Supply Planner to join a busy team and play an important role in managing supplier relationships, product supply, and stock planning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop a strong understanding of procurement, supply chains, and supplier management. You’ll work closely with teams across the business while building valuable commercial and operational experience.

As a Trainee Supply Planner, you’ll support the smooth flow of products from supplier to customer, ensuring contracts are managed effectively and stock levels remain aligned with business needs. Over time, you’ll develop in-depth knowledge of assigned product groups, market trends, and supplier networks.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and new suppliers
• Developing expert knowledge of assigned product groups, including raw material pricing, availability, and supply chain risks
• Managing supplier contracts to ensure products are delivered on time and in line with business requirements
• Working closely with the Operations team to coordinate shipments and contract fulfilment
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring sufficient stock cover is maintained
• Supporting the preparation and submission of tenders
• Collaborating with Sales, Technical teams, and suppliers on new product development projects
• Researching market trends and identifying opportunities to expand or improve the company’s product range
• Staying connected with suppliers to keep up to date with their latest products and innovations

Profile

• 2:1+ degree in your chosen subject
• Good with numbers, with a commercial mindset
• Available to interview ASAP with a view to start within 4 weeks/1 month of an offer
• No more than a 45-minute commute from Reigate
