Deputy Nursing Manager

This is a key role, assisting the Nursing Manager in providing strong leadership to the Nursing and Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) teams. The successful candidate will act as a role model to all clinical staff, demonstrating clinical and leadership credibility within a busy practice setting.

The Role

The Deputy Nursing Manager will assist the Nursing Manager in all aspects of the nursing and VCA teams’ management. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment and selection, development, performance management, appraisal, and absence management in line with company policy. This role is mainly clinically based, supervising, educating, and mentoring all nursing and VCA staff, ensuring they are competent and confident in the delivery of their duties. A key aspect will be to ensure a culture of high-level customer service is instilled in all members of the nursing and Veterinary Care Assistant teams. The post holder will be part of the nursing rota covering out of hours and weekends.
