Registered Veterinary Nurse

Candor Vets is delighted to be working with a friendly and well-established small animal practice in Bury St Edmunds, seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for both newly qualified RVNs looking to build their career and experienced nurses seeking a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a team comprising 3 Veterinary Surgeons and 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses. The practice operates with typically two vets performing procedures and consultations daily, alongside a dedicated consult-only vet. The nursing team runs a daily column of nurse consultations, covering routine health checks, second vaccinations, post-operative check-ups, and weight clinics. The practice is well-equipped with two operating theatres, a tub table, multiparameter monitors, and doppler.

The practice is committed to maintaining high clinical standards and delivering personable care to clients, supported by regular clinical and branch meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• 37.5 hours per week, worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday.

• One Saturday morning in every 12-week period at the Bury St Edmunds branch (time off in lieu).

• One Saturday morning in every 12-week period at the Thetford branch (paid at an enhanced rate).
