Candor Vets is delighted to present an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy 24/7 hospital in Ellesmere Port. This role is perfect for a veterinary professional with a strong clinical background and a passion for leadership, coaching, and mentoring within a supportive team environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will guide a dedicated team of veterinary surgeons, upholding high standards of clinical care through effective coaching and mentorship. Working closely with the Practice Manager and Lead Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the clinic. The practice is a Community Interest Company, focused on providing affordable and accessible veterinary care, reinvesting profits into its team and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Leading and mentoring a team of veterinary surgeons.
Ensuring high standards of clinical care are consistently met.
Contributing to the embedding of practice values and fostering a nurturing work environment.
Collaborating with the Practice Manager and Lead Nurse on daily operations.
Evaluating clinic KPIs and P&L to ensure optimal performance and continued success.
Performing 1-2-1 meetings and conducting performance management.
Leading staff meetings and clinical governance meetings.
