Lead Veterinary Surgeon | 4-Day Week | No On-Call | Leicestershire

This is an opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving small animal practice in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, as it prepares to move into a brand-new, purpose-built hospital.

The Role

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day clinical and operational activity, providing mentorship and support to the wider veterinary team, including new graduates. This role involves leading by example, driving best-practice veterinary care, and collaborating with the senior leadership team to develop the practice strategically. Applicants must hold a postgraduate certificate, ideally with a medicine or imaging bias, and possess previous leadership experience. The role requires a confident and proactive leader, experienced in clinical decision-making, diagnostics, and case management, with a calm, collaborative approach.

The upcoming state-of-the-art hospital will feature advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities, including CT imaging, offering an exciting opportunity to help shape and lead the delivery of gold-standard veterinary care.
