We're looking for a dependable Warehouse Operative to join our client's busy team in Glasgow. If you have warehouse experience, a great work ethic and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, this could be the role for you.
Responsibilities in your new role as Warehouse Operator
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, unloading and checking deliveries for accuracy
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods
- Maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out stock counts
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Safely moving stock using manual handling techniques and warehouse equipment
- Supporting the trade counter by serving customers and processing orders
- Providing product advice and delivering excellent customer service
- Covering delivery driving duties during holidays and sickness absence
- Assisting both internal and external customers in a professional manner
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and warehouse organisation
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We're looking for a reliable and motivated warehouse professional who takes pride in delivering high standards and enjoys working as part of a busy team. You have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial environment
- A valid UK driving licence, with the flexibility to provide delivery cover when required
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
- Great communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
