About the role
Consultant - Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Grayscale Medical is seeking an experienced Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for a locum assignment at Altnagelvin Hospital, part of the Western Health and Social Care Trust. This position offers a competitive assignment rate of £100/hr.
The role covers a short-term placement from Wednesday 19th August (08:30 for 24 hours) through to Monday 24th August 2026. The department is looking for a consultant who can provide senior clinical cover across the obstetrics and gynaecology service, including labour ward oversight, emergency gynaecology, and elective work as required.
Preference will be given to candidates who are Encompass trained, though training can be provided where no trained candidates are available. AccessNI clearance is mandatory for all locum placements at this trust.
Requirements:
- GMC registration with licence to practise at Consultant level
- Specialist registration in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Right to work in the UK
- Up-to-date AccessNI/DBS clearance
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Minimum 2 professional references
- Encompass training preferred
