About the role
Civil Engineer required for a major renewables developer based in Germany. Responsibilities: Support the design, engineering, and delivery of civil works associated with offshore wind and energy island infrastructure projects. Review and coordinate civil and structural designs for onshore substations, converter stations, cable landfalls, and associated facilities. Manage geotechnical, topographical, and site investigation activities to ensure suitability of proposed designs. Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical, mechanical, and marine engineering disciplines. Review contractor designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Monitor construction activities and provide technical support during the execution phase, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Support the development of technical specifications, scopes of work, tender documentation, and contractor evaluation processes. Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, constructability assessments, and risk management workshops. Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards. Manage technical queries, non-conformances, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle. Liaise with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Prepare engineering reports, progress updates, and technical presentations for project management and clients. Support commissioning and handover activities related to civil infrastructure assets. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, power transmission, offshore wind, renewable energy, or industrial construction projects. Experience with substations, converter stations, cable infrastructure, marine structures, or offshore energy developments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles, geotechnical engineering, drainage, foundations, and earthworks. EU National. Fluent in English and Danish.
