Van Driver (Removals) – Temp to Perm

Location: Stone

Pay: £13.00 per hour (increasing to £14.50 after Class 2 training)

Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 6–12 hour shifts depending on the move)


 We are currently seeking a Van Driver to join a well-established and growing removals company based in Stone. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a motivated Van Driver looking for long-term stability, career progression, and a varied, hands-on role within the removals industry.

 
About the Role 
As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for more than just driving. The role involves loading and unloading vehicles, so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable handling heavy items.

 
The company offers excellent development opportunities, including the potential to gain your Class 2 (Category C) licence, fully funded for the right Van Driver. Once qualified, your pay will increase to £14.50 per hour.

 
This is a Monday to Friday position, with no weekend work required, making it ideal for a Van Driver seeking work-life balance and job security.

 
Key Responsibilities 

•  Driving 3.5T vans (and Class 2 vehicles once qualified) for residential and commercial removals
  
  

•  Loading, unloading, and securing items safely in line with company procedures
  
  

•  Delivering excellent customer service in this customer-facing role
  
  

•  Working occasional nights out (hotel and allowance provided)
  
  

 

 
Requirements 

•  Valid UK driving licence (3.5T entitlement)
  
  

•  Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  
  

•  Strong customer service and communication skills
  
  

•  Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn
  
  

•  Previous removals experience desirable but not essential (full training provided)
  
  

•  CSCS card advantageous
