I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established removals company based in Hemel Hempstead, who are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This role is hands-on and physical – the most important part of the job is being happy to load, unload and move furniture as part of a supportive team. Driving duties are secondary, with a maximum of 2 removals per day (most commonly 1), mainly within Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving Class 2 vehicles (mix of manual and automatic)
• Loading and unloading furniture and household goods
• Working as part of a team to complete removals efficiently
• Ensuring customer belongings are handled with care
• Completing paperwork and communicating with customers

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence – new passes welcome
• Comfortable driving both manual and automatic HGVs
• Physically fit and happy with manual labour
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and customer-focused
