An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Senior Communications & Marketing Manager and experienced people manager to join this global Christian international relief charity and lead their Communications & Marketing team at their Midlands UK HQ. You will be leading a multi-disciplined team of 4 in shaping and driving their communications efforts in the UK (in liaison with the International HQ), communicating through multiple channels, including digital, to ensure maximum exposure for the organisation. Communications will be creative, timely, of high quality, and aligned to the values and mission of the charity, thereby growing overall support. The role reports into Executive Leadership for the UK and has the potential for growth and advancement for the right candidate. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the External Communications & Media Relations, supporting Fundraising, Donor Engagement & Communication Strategic Partnerships, Internal Communications & Collaboration, Leadership & Mentoring of the team, and ensuring UK alignment with International Offices & colleagues. You will be degree qualified in a recognised and appropriate professional discipline and able to demonstrate at least 3 – 5 years of proven senior management of people and projects in the workplace within a communications department. You can also demonstrate experience in digital marketing, copywriting and team management together with excellent planning and project management skills to conduct or coordinate research, analysis, and proposals, and implement agreed outcomes in a timely way. The nature of the role requires agility to pivot to meet emerging disaster or emergency situations. You have demonstrably excellent verbal communication & public presentation skills with the ability to express oneself clearly in conversations and with internal and external contacts. You have demonstrable experience in managing large budgets, providing input into budgetary planning processes and capabilities in web data analytics. Additionally, you will have solid interpersonal and communication skills and a mature Christian Faith as it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder will be a practising evangelical Christian (non-denominational) You can demonstrate enthusiasm for the Christian purposes of the organisation and will develop and understanding of, and live out the values of the organisation, supporting and promoting the organisation’s Christian ethos. We have an annual salary of up to c£55k + benefits available dependent upon experience and a substantial job description. 35 hours/week and due to the supervisory responsibilities, this is envisaged as a technically 100% Office based role due to the often-reactionary nature of disaster response and emergencies.
