Working Hours
- Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Wednesday: 7:30am – 2:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
This is a hands-on role involving refuse and recycling collections, working as part of an operational team delivering an essential community service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate refuse and recycling collection vehicles (Class 2) on designated routes
- Transport and dispose of waste at authorised facilities
- Provide support and guidance to the crew working from your vehicle
- Assist with loading refuse and recycling vehicles when required
- Deliver and collect waste, recycling, and litter bins
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
- Ensure compliance with all Scottish DVSA regulations and road transport legislation
- Take responsibility for vehicle-related health and safety, including passengers and crew
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the Foreperson
- Valid LGV Class 2 licence (clean licence preferred)
- Current CPC qualification and Digital Tacho Card
- Strong understanding of legal responsibilities relating to LGV driving
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required
- Awareness of health and safety within operational or high-risk environments
- Reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approach to work
- Immediate start available
- Consistent weekday hours with early Friday finish
