About the role
SCADA Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in The United States. Responsibilities: Substation Control Systems, WTG SCADA and grid compliance, communication networks, metering systems, and associated auxiliary systems. Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder EPC environment. A key part of the assignment is to establish and maintain full control over commissioning activities. Execution of FAT, SAT, and SIT, ensuring that all testing is properly conducted, documented, and approved. Responsible for developing and maintaining the SCADA Commissioning Plan, including scope definition, quality assurance, and timelines. Ensuring that all deliverables meet internal standards as well as regulatory and HSE requirements. The consultant is expected to actively manage interfaces between SCADA contractors, electrical commissioning teams, and project stakeholders. Coordinating daily commissioning activities, monitoring progress against the plan, and proactively identifying risks that may impact schedule or quality. Ensuring alignment across involved parties. The consultant will have the authority to challenge and reject non-compliant work or documentation and is expected to enforce project standards consistently across all SCADA-related activities. Regular reporting to the Commissioning Manager and SCADA Package Manager will be required, with a focus on transparency, risk visibility, and progress tracking. Overall, the success of the assignment will be measured by the timely and high-quality commissioning of SCADA systems, the absence of critical HSE incidents within scope, and the delivery of complete, audit-ready documentation. Requirements: Existing US working rights. Minimum of five years of experience within SCADA or automation commissioning, preferably from offshore. Wind or similar large-scale infrastructure projects. A solid technical foundation combined with strong project execution capabilities. Essential, as is the ability to operate independently in a demanding site environment. Experience working with international contractors. Managing complex interfaces is critical to success in this role. Has GWO and hold the cost to maintain it. A person with offshore Wind expirations and is willing to stay for a longer period at the time if needed.
