Construction Director, Poland

From Taylor Hopkinson we are searching for a Construction Director to join a leading renewable energy company focused on development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects in Europe. This person will be based in Gliwice (Poland) with some flexibility to work from home a couple of times per week. Responsibilities: Manage the full construction lifecycle of large-scale PV and BESS projects within the company's pipeline in Poland, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Lead and mentor a team of local Project Managers, providing technical guidance and ensuring consistent execution across all construction activities. Oversee EPC contractors, subcontractors, and on-site teams, resolving critical issues and maintaining project momentum. Collaborate closely with the Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Grid teams to ensure a seamless transition into construction and successful commissioning. Manage project budgets and resources across all stages, ensuring expected profitability. Identify, forecast, and mitigate potential risks, cost overruns, and delays. Maintain strong relationships with TSOs/DSOs, authorities, and external stakeholders to ensure full compliance with grid and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Engineering/Master's degree in Electrical, Energy, or a related field Previous experience in the renewable energy sector, especially in construction/EPC environments Project Management expertise Availability to visit project sites 1-2 days per week Fluent in English and Polish Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders The ideal candidate should be autonomous, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving industry, with the ability to navigate ambiguity
