Deputy Group Head - Execution

Company Overview Taylor Hopkinson have partnered with a leading renewable energy platform in the Philippines with a rapidly growing portfolio across wind, solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and infrastructure. The organisation is delivering multiple large-scale construction projects nationwide and is strengthening its execution leadership capability to support continued growth. Role Overview We are seeking a Deputy Head of Execution (AVP to VP level) to support the leadership of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy and infrastructure projects in the Philippines. This role will initially report to the Head of Execution, with a clear pathway to assume broader leadership responsibility for the execution function over time. The position requires a highly experienced, hands-on construction leader capable of managing multiple live projects, engaging directly with EPC contractors, and driving safe, timely, and high-quality delivery. The role is based on site in Manila and is intended for a locally employed professional. Responsibilities: Portfolio & Project Execution Leadership* Manage a portfolio of active construction projects across wind, solar, BESS, and infrastructure sectors.* Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery schedules, quality standards, and execution processes are met.* Provide hands-on leadership with strong on-site engagement and a deep understanding of construction fundamentals.* Manage projects delivered through multiple EPC contractors and complex interface arrangements. Delivery & Performance Management* Drive performance on live projects with typical delivery timelines of 6-12 months.* Proactively manage execution risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges across the portfolio.* Support the transition towards full leadership of the execution function in the medium term. People Leadership & Succession* Mentor, coach, and develop construction and project teams.* Build high-performing execution teams and support succession planning across the organisation. Stakeholder Engagement* Work closely with senior leadership, project heads, and internal stakeholders.* Leverage industry relationships to support effective project delivery and problem-solving. Requirements: * Employed locally (regular employee; not expat or contract-based). Home-returning talent encouraged to apply.* Proven experience in senior construction leadership roles such as Senior Construction Manager, Construction Director, or equivalent.* Strong track record managing complex, multi-project construction portfolios in the Philippines and/or internationally.* Background in large-scale construction environments such as oil & gas, infrastructure, real estate, bridges, or major civil works.* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams.* Hands-on execution style with strong understanding of foundations and critical construction processes.* Established industry network with the ability to leverage local and international relationships.
