Assistant Manager

Salary: up to £30,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time | 40 hours per week |Closed on Sundays
Location: Bradford
Experience: Optical experience required

We’re currently supporting a well-established optical practice in the Bradford area that is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its friendly and experienced team.

This could be a great opportunity for an existing Optical Assistant Manager looking for a positive change, or an experienced Optical Assistant/Supervisor who feels ready to take that next step into management. The practice has a strong community feel and is focused on providing a friendly, professional and personal service to its patients.

Experience: Previous experience within Optics is essential

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
• Help lead, motivate and develop the team, maintaining a positive working environment
• Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care and customer service
• Support with team performance, targets and operational standards
• Lead by example, stepping in to resolve queries and keep the practice running efficiently

Experience Required:

• Optical experience is essential – either an existing Assistant Manager or an experienced Optical Assistant/Supervisor ready to step up
• Confident supporting, motivating and developing a smaller team, while leading by example
• Organised and proactive, with the ability to support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
• Commercially aware, comfortable working towards targets without compromising patient care
• A strong communicator with a patient-focused approach and passion for delivering excellent service
