About the role
A leading long/ short hedge fund is now looking to recruit an Equity Research Associate into their team.
The role will join a very successful team of fund managers and analysts who have a superb track record in investing.
The role will work on the following :
Active Identification of investment opportunities for the fund
Identification of events which can trigger a gain or loss in value of a stock
Recommending buy and sell side trades to the Portfolio Managers
Carrying out detailed financial modelling and analysis of investment opportunities
Monitoring existing positions
Active member of the investment team
They are interested in people who will have a background as follows:
Currently working as an equity research associate with a sell or buy side firm
ACAs
Private equity professionals
Superb academics
Real interest in financial markets
This is quite a junior role on the team, and will probably be most suitable for professionals with a few years buy or sell side experience or a super bright chartered accountant who already has their own share portfolio.
