🚗 Female Support Worker | Stevenage, SG12. A fantastic opportunity to support Claire, 60, a lovely lady living in her own home, with her daily routines, personal care, mobility, appointments, and activities. £18.30 gross per hour.

  • Nearest Station: Stevenage
  • Salary/Wage: Weekdays| £18.30 gross per hour, Weekends | 18.80 gross per hour
  • Driving Requirements: Yes – a full UK driving license is required and confident driving to appointments
  • Essential: Female* Support Worker, manual handling experience, willingness to assist with personal care and stoma care, confident supporting mobility needs, right to work in the UK
  • Desirable: Experience supporting adults with mobility impairments, stoma care experience, interest in gardening, crafts, knitting, and community activities
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Days & Hours: Part-time, 2 days per week. Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm and Sunday 1.00pm to 5.00pm. Additional hours may be available to cover sickness and annual leave of the current Support Worker.

About the Client Claire, 60, is a warm, friendly, and welcoming lady who enjoys spending her time knitting, visiting local garden centres, playing bingo, and making the most of time with her family. She is seeking a reliable and personable Support Worker to support her with daily routines while helping her maintain her independence and continue enjoying the activities she loves. Claire experiences bilateral lower limb weakness, including foot drop, chronic pain, poor balance, fatigue, mobility restrictions, urinary incontinence, and continence management via ileostomy. She uses a walking aid and requires assistance with mobility, personal care, meal preparation, and other aspects of daily living. Claire greatly values her independence and appreciates being supported by someone who is positive, respectful, approachable, and easy to get along with.

The Role at a Glance This is a rewarding role supporting Claire within her family home environment. You will provide assistance with personal care routines, including getting up, showering, dressing, and applying AFOs/boots. The role also includes preparing fresh, balanced meals, medication prompting and support, assisting with physiotherapy exercises, accompanying Claire to appointments, and providing practical support with continence and stoma care when required. You will be working independently for much of the time while also fitting comfortably into a home where family members are often present on weekends. Full training can be provided for medication administration, stoma care, and any other aspects of Claire’s support package.

This Job Would Suit Friendly, reliable, and proactive people who enjoy supporting others to live independently. You will be comfortable working within a private family home, respectful of Claire’s privacy, and confident assisting someone with mobility difficulties. This role would suit a *female support worker who is chatty, positive, and practical, with a genuine desire to make a difference. An interest in gardening, crafting, or similar activities would be a lovely bonus.
