Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established and growing building services contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical projects across a range of sectors.

Working as part of a collaborative pre-construction team, you’ll play a key role in preparing competitive and accurate tenders for mechanical installations, helping to secure a strong pipeline of projects.

The Role

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Produce competitive tender submissions within required timescales.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and the internal project teams.
• Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate.
• Support the successful handover of projects to the delivery team.

About You

To be considered, you’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installations, including HVAC, pipework and plumbing systems.
• Experience pricing commercial, industrial, healthcare, education or residential projects.
• Excellent analytical and commercial awareness.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
