Head Chef required for a Country Pub near Ulverston – Live In

A well-established country pub in South Cumbria is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef to lead its kitchen.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident chef who enjoys working independently and taking full responsibility for a busy pub kitchen. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the food operation, producing quality homemade dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and consistency.

The role is predominantly single-handed, with the support of a kitchen assistant during weekends.

Working Hours:

• Tuesday to Friday: 3:00/4:00pm – 9:00pm
• Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am – 9:00pm
• Mondays off

Package:

• £20.00 per hour
• Live-in accommodation available

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up.
• The ability to run a kitchen independently.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• A passion for producing fresh, high-quality food.
• A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
• A calm and professional approach during busy service.
