Job Title
EHS Advisor
Summary
Join a leading engineering project as an EHS Advisor at a nuclear power station in Heysham. This role is perfect for safety professionals with recognised qualifications and experience in turbine environments. It’s a great opportunity to work on a highly regulated project where your expertise will contribute directly to maintaining a safe and compliant site.
Location and Working Pattern
Heysham – On-site position at a nuclear facility. Working core hours in the run up to the outage, and then outage hours rotaion while the outage is ongoing
Responsibilities

Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UK legislation and site standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with nuclear safety requirements.
Deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks to staff and contractors.
Investigate incidents, analyse root causes and recommend improvements.
Support project teams in embedding EHS best practices throughout operations.
Maintain accurate safety records and documentation for regulatory reporting.
Promote a positive safety culture across the site.

 
Must-have Requirements

NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent recognised safety certification).
Experience working with turbines in an industrial or power generation environment.
Capable of obtaining or already holding CTC UK security clearance.

 
Nice-to-have Skills

Knowledge of the nuclear industry or experience within highly regulated environments.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
