SummaryJoin our client’s dynamic design and engineering team as a CAD Designer in West Cumbria. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit, BIM or Navisworks, who thrive on producing accurate technical drawings and models for complex interior fit-out and building projects. Hourly Rate:
£33.00 to £35.00 per hour (PAYE).
ssistance on travel expenses is available (subject to review)
Location and Working PatternBased in Whitehaven, Cumbria. Some hybrid working is available
Client OverviewOur client is a global specialist in interior fit‑out and building solutions. With a wealth of experience delivering innovative projects worldwide, they are committed to providing industry-leading products and systems.
Responsibilities

Produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
Identify areas for improvement.
Develop buildable, practical solutions for interior systems.
Coordinate designs with architects, structural, and MEP consultants.
Support project teams to ensure design compliance and technical accuracy.
Contribute to successful delivery of interior and envelope works on major projects.

 
Must-have Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
Experience using Revit or Navisworks or BIM
Background in civil, architectural, structural, mechanical.
Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Previous experience with any of the following: ceilings, dry lining, partition walls, encasements or façade interfaces.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and effective communication.

 
Nice-to-have:

HND/Degree in a relevant technical discipline.
CAD certification.
