Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerLocation: Aldermaston, Reading
Rate: £48.00 per hour
Contract: 12 MonthsWe are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major Nuclear & Defence project in Aldermaston.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Workstream Quality Lead in maintaining project quality requirements.
Work closely with Construction Teams to ensure Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) production and compliance.
Compile Lifetime Quality Records and support suppliers with client quality requirements.
Manage Supply Chain Quality activities, including supplier assessments, audits, and performance monitoring.
Manage Non-Conformances, Defects, and Improvement Notices, driving continuous improvement.
Develop Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Quality Management Plans, and ITPs.
Conduct internal, supplier, and third-party audits.

 
Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years' Quality Assurance experience within M&E, Welding, Fabrication, or Construction environments.
Experience working on Nuclear and Defence projects.
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor qualified.
Experience conducting internal, supplier, and ISO 9001:2015 third-party audits.
Ability to develop quality documentation and inspection plans.
Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
